The Washington County Board voted to consider placing a $40 million Land and Water Legacy Program renewal referendum on the November ballot; Commissioner Michelle Clasen opposed the measure, saying she didn't see how Woodbury, Oakdale and other areas benefit, and suggested the program instead fund culvert and right-of-way work in more densely populated areas.

County commissioner candidates file their campaign finance reports with Washington County, not with the state board. The county's Campaigning page is the filing officer's own posting location, listed by the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board under Minn. Stat. 211A.02 subd. 6. Separately, commissioners file an annual Statement of Economic Interest with the state board; that filing is linked under Financial disclosure.
