I wanted to also call out that September is Self Care Awareness Month with the changing seasons upon us. we were just commenting on. It's the first day of school for a lot of public school students of September. Nw's the perfect time to refocus and we prioritize them. mental physical and emotional health.
Self care isn't just about adding one more thing to a to do list. It's about making space for things that help make you feel well connected. Unable to navigate the many demands of life. There are 3 main pillars of self care, physical care which is caring for your body through movement. Rest, nutrition and regular health care, mental and emotional well-being. Making space to manage stress and process emotions. And the last one social and spiritual connections, which is nurturing relationships, community purpose and things that bring meaning to your life for our employees. There's a lot of good information about this on our Internet. Also, I would just encourage folks to check out our new eap provider as well. That's available. 24 7 and then lastly, I just wanted to call out some support that we've received from Minnesota housing. I email the board this late last week, but as part of our work in partnership with the See pollen, the ING encampment response.
There was a recent meeting with Minnesota housing where we were able to talk with other regional partners. And I know that's a conversation. We want to continue to have both with our state partners and also regional over in bin County as well as the city of Minneapolis. After that recent meeting, the state I reached out and let us know that they needed additional investment into Ramsey County. Nearly $800,000 as part supporting the work they it They wrked at the inner agency partners at Department of Human Services to identify these additional resources. The funding will increase the state's contract with a radius health and support 3 additional staff, which include a registered nurse, outreach worker and an administrative H I am I asked support, which is our home data system for managing our populate has an unstable population. So that will bring that outreach program at RADIUS health out. Almost 8 Ft ease. So there will also be as part of that 800,316 1000 of direct assistance.
2 people experiencing that could support application fee security deposits, transportation. So this funding can be used to the end June of 2028. But we are going put reach those resources to work now and they're intended to complement the work that we're doing in Manatee County Sino. Dr. Wilkins is working closely with radius health to figure out, you know, where they can kind of filling gaps other things that we're doing. So I wanted to think Minnesota housing for their support and for hearing of our additional needs at this real immediate time. But we look forward continue those conversations at the Legislature and in the next session to as we work with our state partners. Thank you. And Did you vision? ready pay out side. What in committee reports speaking with town. do Well, I'll just I'll just say that last week was a pretty budget presentation have unique and to picking up on Self care month, I was able to enjoy a little bit of down time over the weekend.

We don't have a board meeting next week. So I just wanted to highlight a couple of events that are coming up. One of them is on the Lake Owasso residents, family picnic. It's on Saturday, September 12th from 12 to 3 and this is a wonderful community really, of almost full of individuals who are served in live in in our Lake Owasso residents and their family and their volunteers who come together. It's a really joyous time
If they they really truly are part the that is heights neighborhood that they're part of. So it's aways a fun time to be there. Then North Oaks has the at the North Guild has the rummage sale in the short view Arena this weekend their days on Saturday and Sunday. And all of those funds go to support Children's Hospital. So it's a good fund-raiser. I will say if you are somebody who likes to thrift, as you all know, why I am a thrift or I have. It's a really great time to go in and pick up some things to keep things out of her landfield server used clothes but also more importantly to raise some money for the children's hospital and then the Disability Pride Festival had been moved from the summertime because there is a deep, deep heat.

I also have a chance to meet Snelling University Alliance a group that is consist the Hamlin Midway Coalition and the Midway Chamber of Commerce, Union Park District Council and a number of other partners along the snowing University corridor. They have been doing a study as well as getting a number of stakeholders together to form a snowing university alliance to determine how we can further develop that corridor similar to what a ride, smart reliance of dawn for Rice Street. So they just provided myself and commission Moran with update all of from. From there stakeholder meetings as well as next up. So looking forward to continuing to work with those partners and really build out a plan for the success of this corridor. Off of Lore, punter got a chance to speak with a member of the residents to provide an update on what we're doing at the county, specifically around the supplemental budget.
But primarily of the residents want to discuss the the sale the U of golf course in the role of the county has as that golf courses in process of what redevelopment will look like.
